Masingill, Addy, Patterson, Gov. Bentley, ByardGrant to Fund AERN Expansion (9/24/2015)

AERN has been awarded a grant from the Delta Regional Authority to expand its work in Alabama's Black Belt. Mary Patterson, Project Director, and Dr. Sam Addy, Associate Dean for Economic Development Outreach, Culverhouse College of Commerce, attended the awards announcement in Montgomery on September 17. The project, Training and Innovating Delta Entrepreneurs, will add seven additional Delta counties to the AERN network. Pictured, left to right: Christopher A. Ribbon Cutting in Hale CountyRibbon Cutting Held for the Hale County AERN Center (3/11/2015)
After much planning and engagement with local entrepreneurs, AERN held the grand opening and ribbon cutting for its Hale County Entrepreneurial Center on February 25, 2015 in the HERO (Hale Empowerment and Revitalization Organization) office in Greensboro with HERO Executive Director Pam Dorr hosting the event. Sumter County workshopEntrepreneurial Workshop Held in Sumter County (4/3/2012)
The Sumter County Alabama Chamber of Commerce hosted an Entrepreneurship Workshop on March 22. Chamber Director Allison Tucker provided a light lunch for participants, and AERN Outreach Coordinator Mary Patterson led a round table discussion on using AERN resources to write a business plan. Ms. Patterson provided 2010 Census demographics on Sumter County and Livingston, AL, useful in identifying markets for products and/or services. See photos.
