AERN to Present Business Workshop in Demopolis on Feb. 10

The Alabama Entrepreneurial Research Network (AERN), an outreach unit of The University of Alabama, and the Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce will present Retailing 2010 on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Demopolis Higher Education Center.

The workshop, which will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., will feature various sessions about starting and maintaining small businesses.

Student Caitlin Jones, a University of Alabama faculty scholar in marketing, will explain many ways to use social media to market small business.

Also, two local area small business owners will present their ideas as part of a panel discussion.

Dr. Kristy Reynolds, UA associate professor of management and marketing, will be the keynote speaker. She will focus on important trends in consumer behavior and new market strategies for small businesses.

Lunch will be provided for registered participants.
